Advertiser, Seller and Service-Provider Policy

Version: 1.0 | Effective: 23 July 2026

1. Advertiser classification

At posting, select one:

Private advertiser: acting occasionally for personal/non-business purposes;

Business advertiser: dealer, trader, service provider, employer, recruiter, promoter, broker, professional or person acting systematically in trade/business;

Authorised representative: acting for the owner/principal and holding verifiable authority.

The Company may reclassify an account using posting frequency, inventory, business language, tax invoices, dealer conduct or other reasonable signals. Do not misrepresent business activity as private.

2. Identity and authority

Provide true legal/business name, active mobile/email, address where required, and licence/registration details relevant to the category. The Company may privately request proof of identity, ownership, authority, business registration, tax status or licence. Such proof must be submitted only through the secure method provided and must not be placed in a public ad.

3. Listing representations

For each listing, you represent that:

you own the subject or have authority to advertise it;

the listing, price, images, location and claims are accurate and substantiated;

the subject may lawfully be advertised and transferred/provided;

material defects, restrictions, finance, charges and risks are disclosed;

content and trade marks are authorised;

all required registrations/licences are valid;

you will honour representations made to a consumer; and

you will promptly mark the listing unavailable or correct changes.

4. Business advertiser disclosures

Where applicable, a business advertiser must provide consumers with clear and accessible:

legal/trade name and principal geographic address;

customer-care and grievance contact;

registration, licence and tax particulars required by law;

total price and material charges;

material terms, warranty/guarantee, cancellation, return, refund and delivery information;

country of origin where legally relevant;

safety warnings and after-sales information; and

a genuine invoice/receipt where required.

My Classifieds may display a subset publicly and retain the balance securely for compliance.

5. Consumer treatment

Do not engage in unfair trade practice, misleading advertisement, false review, refusal to honour a representation, discriminatory or abusive conduct, bait-and-switch, hidden charge, fabricated urgency, coercive bundling or denial of a statutory remedy.

Do not falsely represent that My Classifieds is the seller, guarantor, certifier or dispute agent.

6. Communications and data

Use enquiry data only to respond to the enquiry or complete the expected transaction. Do not add a person to marketing lists without consent, sell contact data, harass, send bulk messages or request unnecessary identity/financial data.

7. Category compliance

The category schedules in the Listing Rules apply. A regulated advertiser must monitor licence validity and notify the Company of suspension, expiry, disciplinary restriction or loss of authority.

8. Records and cooperation

Maintain reasonable records supporting ownership, authority, price, condition, licence and consumer commitments. Cooperate with a genuine grievance, legal notice, regulator or law-enforcement request routed through the Company. Do not retaliate against a complainant.

9. Enforcement

The Company may require enhanced verification, business classification, corrective disclosure, suspension or removal. Serious or repeated misconduct may result in account termination, preservation of records and lawful reporting.

10. Additional business terms

Business advertisers also accept the Additional Terms for Business Advertisers. Consumer rights and statutory duties cannot be contracted away.
