Use “Report Ad”, “Report User” or the online form. Provide:
• your name and contact;
• ad URL/ad ID/user ID;
• complaint category;
• concise facts and requested action;
• supporting screenshot/document where relevant;
• statement that the information is true; and
• if acting for another person, authority to do so.
For an intellectual-property complaint, use the IP Policy. For a court/government order, use the designated legal-order channel and provide a complete authenticated copy.
3. Complaint categories and targets
| Category | Operational target |
|---|---:|
| Ordinary account, service, billing, privacy or platform grievance | acknowledge within 24 hours; resolve within 7 days |
| Specified unlawful/harmful Rule 3(1)(b) content complaint where the 36-hour rule applies | resolve within 36 hours |
| Content exposing private area, full/partial nudity, sexual act/conduct, electronic impersonation or artificially morphed image of the complainant | remove/disable within 2 hours of a sufficient complaint |
| Credible child-safety or immediate physical-threat report | immediate emergency escalation; mandatory reporting where applicable |
| Valid court order or qualifying reasoned authorised-government intimation creating actual knowledge | remove/disable within 3 hours |
| Lawful government request for information/assistance | respond within 72 hours |
| Consumer/e-commerce grievance | the stricter 24-hour/7-day internal standard applies |
Incomplete or abusive reports may require clarification, but urgent victim-protection action will not be delayed where sufficient information exists.
4. Review process
We will:
1. assign a reference number and timestamp;
2. preserve the reported content and relevant logs without altering evidence;
3. classify legal basis, urgency and deadline;
4. restrict access immediately where urgent risk or law requires;
5. review the listing, account history and evidence;
6. seek limited clarification or a response where appropriate;
7. decide to retain, label, edit, restrict, remove, suspend, restore or escalate;
8. communicate a reasoned outcome to the extent legally permitted; and
9. retain the case record under the retention schedule.
5. Notice to affected user
Where legally permissible and safe, a user whose content is removed or access is disabled will receive the reason and a reasonable opportunity to dispute the action. Notice may be delayed or limited for victim safety, investigation, confidentiality, court/government direction or legal prohibition.
6. Restoration/internal review
An affected user may request review within 7 days of the moderation notice, identifying the decision and providing evidence. Restoration is not available where continued restriction is legally required. Restoration does not affect preserved evidence.
7. Grievance Appellate Committee
A person aggrieved by the Grievance Officer’s decision, or whose grievance is not resolved within the applicable period, may prefer an appeal to the Central Government’s Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days of receiving the Grievance Officer’s communication, through the official digital mechanism then available.
This does not restrict Consumer Commission, court, Data Protection Board, regulator or law-enforcement remedies.
8. Preservation
Removed/disabled content and associated records will be preserved without vitiating evidence for at least 180 days, or longer if required by a court or lawfully authorised agency. Registration information is retained for 180 days after account cancellation/withdrawal.
9. Emergency and police matters
My Classifieds is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency or police authority first, then provide the report reference to us. We will cooperate with properly verified lawful requests.
10. Misuse
Do not submit false, malicious, repetitive or impersonated reports. Misuse may lead to restriction and lawful action, but good-faith reporting will not be penalised merely because a claim is not upheld.
11. Consumer grievance particulars
Where the complaint concerns a paid listing service supplied by the Company, include order/payment reference and requested remedy. The Company will not require a consumer to waive a statutory right as a condition of redressal.
