Listing Rules and Prohibited/Restricted Listings Policy
Version: 1.0 | Effective: 23 July 2026
These rules apply to every advertisement, title, description, image, link, price, location, message and profile submitted to My Classifieds.
1. Core requirements
Every listing must be lawful, accurate, current, placed in the correct category, and posted by an adult owner or authorised person. It must clearly disclose:
• the advertiser’s capacity;
• the genuine total or base price and unavoidable charges known to the advertiser;
• material condition, defect, restriction or eligibility term;
• whether the advertiser acts personally or in business/professional capacity;
• legally required licence/registration details; and
• whether any media is materially synthetic or AI-generated.
No payment plan exempts a listing from these rules.
2. Content prohibited by intermediary due-diligence rules
You must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share content that:
• belongs to another person and you have no right to use;
• is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, sexually explicit, defamatory, invasive of privacy, harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes money laundering or gambling;
• harms or exploits a child;
• infringes patent, trade mark, copyright, privacy, publicity or other proprietary rights;
• deceives users about origin, impersonates another, or presents knowingly false/misleading information as fact;
• threatens India’s sovereignty or integrity, security of the State, friendly foreign relations or public order; incites a cognisable offence; obstructs investigation; or insults another nation in a legally prohibited manner;
• contains malware, malicious code or a mechanism intended to disrupt a computer resource;
• promotes an impermissible online game or prohibited surrogate advertisement; or
• violates any law.
This includes synthetic or AI-generated information used for an unlawful purpose.

• political/election advertisements unless a separately approved, legally compliant process is implemented; the launch default is prohibited; and
• any item or service the Company reasonably determines creates an unlawful or unacceptable safety risk.
4. Misleading and unsafe practices
Listings must not use:
• bait pricing, hidden mandatory charges or a false “free” claim;
• fake scarcity, false urgency, countdowns or fabricated demand;
• misleading before/after, edited or stock images presented as the actual item;
• fake ratings, testimonials, endorsements, certifications or badges;
• guaranteed income, employment, approval, loan, cure, sale or result;
• a low teaser price that is unavailable or materially excludes mandatory components;
• keyword stuffing, unrelated brands, duplicate mass postings or redirect links;
• a “verified” or “approved by My Classifieds” claim unless the Company has created that specific badge and authorised its exact use; or
• contact instructions designed to evade platform safety or moderation.
5. Personal information
Never place in public text or media:
• Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving-licence or voter-card number;
• bank account, card, UPI PIN, OTP, password or QR code requesting payment;
• full identity document or signature specimen;
• another person’s address, number, photo or private communication without lawful basis; or
• a child’s identifying information.
6. Real Estate and To Rent/Let
Select one capacity: owner, authorised representative, broker/agent, promoter/developer, landlord or tenant authorised to sublet.
For a promoter/project advertisement in Maharashtra:
• enter a valid MahaRERA project registration number, unless a lawful exemption is selected and substantiated;
• provide the MahaRERA website address;
• provide the prescribed project QR code;
• identify the promoter and project accurately; and
• comply with the required visibility, size, colour and top-right placement norms for promoter/agent advertising creatives.
A broker/agent dealing in a registered project must provide the valid MahaRERA agent registration number and quote it where legally required.
Resale/rental listings must state advertiser capacity, property type, locality, material price/rent/deposit/maintenance, availability and known material restrictions. Do not claim clear title, sanctioned construction, exact area, exclusive parking or lawful commercial use unless substantiated. No discriminatory, harassing or unlawful occupancy condition is permitted.
My Classifieds does not verify title, encumbrances, approvals, possession, area, tenancy rights, litigation or RERA status. Users must independently obtain documents and professional advice.
7. Jobs
A job listing must identify the genuine employer/recruiter, role, work location, material eligibility, compensation basis and whether fees are charged. It must not:
• demand a deposit, security, training purchase, equipment payment or recruitment fee from a candidate as a condition of a supposed job, unless specifically lawful and transparently justified;
• disguise MLM, commission-only selling, franchise, investment or data-entry purchase as employment;
• promise guaranteed selection, visa or income;
• seek unnecessary Aadhaar/bank data in the public listing;
• offer child labour, bonded labour, trafficking or illegal work;
• use an unlawful discriminatory condition; or
• offer overseas recruitment without required authorisation and disclosures.
8. Vehicles
The advertiser must own the vehicle or have written authority. Disclose vehicle type, registration year, material condition, odometer representation, known major accident/flood status, hypothecation/finance, insurance/PUC status and whether the advertiser is a dealer.
Do not publish full RC, chassis, engine, identity or finance documents. No tampered odometer, cloned vehicle, stolen vehicle, prohibited modification or false “single owner/accident-free” claim is allowed.
9. Electronics
State whether the item is new/used/refurbished, brand/model, material defect, warranty status, included accessories and whether the seller is a dealer. Do not publish a complete IMEI/serial number. Stolen, locked, blacklisted, counterfeit or unlawfully activated devices are prohibited.
10. Agriculture Equipment
State ownership/authority, make/model, age, working condition, material defect, finance/hypothecation and safety status. Pesticides, seeds, fertilisers, chemicals, veterinary/medical products and regulated inputs are prohibited unless a separately approved category and licence-verification process exists.
11. Local Services and professional services
State the service provider’s identity/business name, service area, fees or pricing basis, material exclusions and legally required licence.
Regulated professions must comply with professional-conduct and advertising rules. Advocate listings, if permitted, must remain factual directory information consistent with Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules and must not solicit work, guarantee outcomes, compare superiority or use improper testimonials.
Food, medical, financial, education, travel, security, transport and other licensed services require the applicable registration before listing.
12. Business advertisers
A person posting systematically in trade/business must select “Business Advertiser” and provide the information required by the Advertiser Policy and applicable consumer/e-commerce law. Misrepresenting a business as a private seller is prohibited.
13. Synthetic/AI media
If media uploads are enabled, answer the synthetic-content declaration truthfully. Routine cropping, compression, colour correction or non-misleading enhancement is not treated as materially synthetic. Content that appears real but is materially generated/altered must be labelled. Deceptive alterations, false documents, impersonation and removal of labels/provenance are prohibited.
14. Enforcement
The Company may request evidence, hold, reject, label, limit, remove or preserve a listing; warn, suspend or terminate the user; refuse or cancel paid promotion; report mandatory offences; and comply with lawful orders.
Repeated or serious violations may lead to permanent restriction. Payment is governed by the Refund Policy and does not prevent enforcement.
15. Reporting
Use “Report Ad” on the listing or `/legal/grievance`. Identify the exact URL/ad ID, reason and evidence. Urgent private imagery, impersonation, child-safety and credible threat reports must be clearly marked.
